Congratulations to Christina Keasler on being hired as the Director of the Dixon Public Library!

Ms. Keasler's first day is September 25, 2023.

Ms. Keasler comes to Dixon from the Glen Ellyn Public Library where they’d worked since 2012, earning regular promotions resulting in being named Youth Department Director since 2021.
Ms. Keasler looks forward to building close relationships with the

community and staff. “Meeting our patrons is a part of my job that I really enjoy.” Keasler said. “It helps me better understand how they want and need to use their library.”

The Board appreciated how prepared Ms. Keasler was for each round of interviews. “She
asked us excellent questions,” Board President Tracey Lawton said. “That showed me she took
the time to research us beyond simply looking at our website.” Trustee Nicholas Haws noted
how Ms. Keasler emphasized the importance of the staff. “She will ask, and listen, to what the
staff notice and think. That is critical because it will take Christine time to integrate herself into
the community.” Haws said.

The Dixon Public Library is the place people turn to for the discovery of ideas, the joy of reading, and the power of information. Community needs drive our services. We take a personal interest in assuring that they are delivered in a welcoming, convenient and responsive manner.
